Little people

As I've said before, I love doing hand building. But I've also always wanted to try slip casting. So recently I made these figures to see how the slip casting would go - and they came out quite well! Mel and I decided to experiment with them....and she made them look cool!! (see below) It's amazing how different each one is. You can imagine they each have some kind of interesting story - and there is a loveliness about them. Actually, I like watching people's reaction when they look at my work. I can see the difference and similarity between them through their reactions, and a little bit of their stories. It's really interesting! I'm going to keep updating the Little People's Little Project....so stay tuned!

I love these guys. I love them so profoundly I attempted to make my own version of them. She is lumpy, but cheerful. I posted yours on my blog but Ithink I misattributed them. I'll go fix it.

Yes, keep the little people project going. I love that the "man" looks like he's slouching with hands in pockets and I can imagine that different things could be read into them depending on how you compose the groups.

I'm glad I found you through Mel.

I love the little people. Their adventures made me laugh. If they would like to travel to the 'states, I'd be delighted to show them around....

Kenji,
as I already wrote at sandwich mountain, this little people project is such a lovely idea. Do you also sent your people oversea? Maybe they wanna visit Munich and I can show them around, take pictures? I´d really loved to! Ask them, if they wanna go on an exciting trip! :)
Let me know. Love, Irina

Hi Kenji.

Great to here! Well, actually, I´m living in Munich but moving to Hamburg end of August. So the best way to show your little people around is to start here in Munich and then take them up to the north. So they have the contrast. Mountains and sea.
What do you think?
